Archer drilling wins 5 years in North Sea with offshore oil major ConocoPhillips, that will see them supply mechanical wireline services.

The award secures work, for the offshore drilling contractor until mid 2021, across ConocoPhillips’ Norwegian portfolio of fixed assets.

“We are extremely pleased with the confidence ConocoPhillips places in Archer by giving us the opportunity to continue to work for them for an additional five years.” said Archer’s wireline Vice President, Jan Vader.

Archer will provide full mechanical wireline services to Conoco, on a contract that will come into force on the 1st May 2016, and replaces an existing contract that would have expired next January.

The Norwegian based drilling company has been working for ConocoPhillips Norway since 2009, providing the same services, and is quick to point out that this latest award is not an extension, but a new contract won during a very competitive bidding process.

“It demonstrates our dedication and commitment to delivering safe, efficient and solutions-oriented services to our clients, and the value this offers to ConocoPhillips’ operations in Norway”, concluded Vander.
