Offshore construction and subsea specialist, Bibby Offshore, have confirmed a second major contract win.
Bibby Gulf Of Mexico
The latest award is for an unnamed offshore oil and gas production company, for work in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The contract will see Bibby conduct decommissioning work on subsea infrastructure. The award was made by the unnamed operator through Aqueos Corporation, a subsea services and diving company specialising in commercial oil and gas work within the US.
Bibby Offshore and Aqueos Corporation have been working together, since the pair formed an alliance back in July 2015.
The offshore dive support vessel (DSV) Bibby Sapphire will be utilised on the contract that is scheduled to start in the first half of 2016. The vessel is currently on its way to the US Gulf of Mexico.
Commenting on the award, Bibby Offshore CEO, Howard Woodcock, said: “North America remains a focus for our international expansion. We have a clear commitment to this region and will continue to develop our strategic alliance with Aqueos Corporation,”
“The broader market remains challenging, but this new project demonstrates and endorses our ability to secure contracts in a highly competitive market.”
