Purpose / Role

  • To read, understand and implement the Company's HSEQ policy and the arrangements described in the Company Management Systems document.
  • To lead a multi-disciplined construction team in delivering the workscope in accordance with the applicable specifications, procedures, etc that apply and in a safe and efficient manner within the planned target dates.
  • Senior supervisory role maintaining safe systems of work, reporting on progress, resolution of workforce HSE issues,
  • Act as senior Company representative.

Key Aims and Objectives

  • To ensure that all project/company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded
  • Ensure that all personnel are aware of/implement safe working practices/procedure and are provided with a safe working environment
  • Ensure all work is prepared and executed in accordance with both Company and Client processes and procedures.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

  • Safety leadership
  • Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical standards and specifications
  • Lead and manage a multi-discipline construction team
  • Understand construction/commissioning activities and methods
  • Understand client PTW / TRA processes
  • Execute construction activities.
  • Prepare resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan. This to include the necessary tooling and temporary requirements which are to be managed and controlled in a cost-effective manner.
  • Input and support to daily and weekly planning schedules and co-ordination meetings.
  • Involvement with the management of and input to shutdown planning.
  • Co-ordinate the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources
  • Ensure personnel are competent to perform their work
  • Review and execute construction plans
  • Act as AMEC co-ordinator for administrative duties, etc to ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
  • Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Completion of probationary evaluations and assessments in accordance with AMEC's competency assurance system CDCA

 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

  • Minimum HNC in a related Engineering subject
  • Recognised O&G discipline background
  • Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project Hook Up / Construction practices and procedures
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word / Powerpoint etc) with experience in JMS
  • BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical
  • AMEC mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.

Desirable:

  • Degree educated in a related Engineering subject.
  • Management NVQ level 4 or 5
  • Conversant with TRM process
  • Accident/Incident Investigation

Experience

Demonstrable experience in similar role or Senior position in Oil and Gas construction management.

  • Delivery focused with proven experience in achieving project goals whilst mainatin high standards in HSEQ at all times.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management. Fully conversant with project management tools
  • Experienced in the production of detailed procedures / documents / reports.
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working.
  • Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices/procedures.
  • Ability to deliver trainning to personnel within the construction team - commitment to develop team members.
  • Ability to interface and interact with Management and Client Representatives at all levels.
  • Ability to work both at project and corporate levels.
  • Offshore experience in similar role.
  • Must have previous E/I experience.
