Purpose / Role

  • Responsible for all project stores activities to support execution of project schedules.
  • This shall include ensuring databases are updated; materials are receipted, stored appropriately, bagged, tagged and issued in accordance with Company policies, procedures and in compliance with all HSSE and any legislative requirements.
  • Inventory management and reconciliation.

  • Efficient and effective control of all materials to suit project requirements;
  • Management of all materials in accordance with relevant Company policies, procedures and project schedules.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

  • Verification and receipt of all project material in accordance with Company policies and procedures;
  • Report any material delivery OSD's (Overage/Shortage/Damages);
  • Allocation of bin location and storage of project materials and update of systems accordingly;
  • Issue material from pick-lists as directed by Project Material Controller;
  • Bagging, tagging and containerisation of all construction materials in accordance with project schedule;
  • Inventory Management, e.g. check stock levels, replenishment;
  • Assist with effective and timely reconciliation and disposal of surplus project materials;
  • Preparation and provide full documentation for all materials to be back-loaded (Offshore);
  • Ensure all Warehouse operations are conducted safely, implementing all Company / project / regulatory, policies and procedures e.g. Manual Handling, Forklift Operations;
  • House-keeping;
  • Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within project team.


Job Requirements:

Qualifications / Training


  • SVQ / Standard Grade or equivalent
  • BOSIET - Offshore Survival (Mandatory for Offshore position only)
  • IT Literate (Excel/Word etc)
  • 1 year Stores experience


  • Banksman Slinger
  • Fork-lift Licence
  • Dangerous Goods by Land, Air and Sea
  • COSHH Training
  • Waste Management Training
  • Previous stores experience in oil and gas industry


  • Experienced in the management of materials from receipt at warehouse through to distribution to required site location
  • Good working knowledge of stores procedures
  • Good knowledge of legislative requirements for onshore and offshore materials management
  • Proven ability to work to demanding project schedules
  • Competent in maintaining and updating systems
  • Ability to identify oil and gas project materials and equipment
  • Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of oil and gas project materials and equipment
  • Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within project team.

  • Promote HSSE policy and other regulations such as LOLER, Environmental, COSHH, Dangerous Goods, etc;
  • Compliance with manual handling regulations;
  • Capable of maintaining registers of equipment and hazardous chemicals.
