Job Description:

Amec Foster Wheeler currently require the services of Standby Men for ongoing work at various Scottish Power Substations in and around the Glasgow area.

Working on new build, refurbishments and extensions of 11kV to 400kV substations work to include

Building & setting of disconnectors/earthswitches & Pantographs

Erection of steelwork for all equipment

Above and below ground earthing

Fitting & erection of busbars & clamps

Preferred:-

  • SB-1,SR-3 & WL-1
  • SPEN authorisations preferred-WI-1, WI-2&EN-1 SR-3 & WL-1
  • MEWP Licence preferred
  • Telehandler with Lifting attachment
  • Past history of working on 11kV/400kV transmission works

Essential

Role Requirements

SPEN - SB-1- current safety passport.

Preferred:-

  • SR-3 & WL-1
  • SPEN authorisations preferred-WI-1, WI-2&EN-1 SR-3 & WL-1
  • MEWP Licence preferred
  • Telehandler with Lifting attachment
  • Past history of working11kV/400kV transmission works
