Job Description:

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for Rope Access Pipefitters for the Quad 204 Project (redevelopment of the Schiehallion and Loyal fields), located 175 km west of Shetland and 15 km north of the Foinaven field.

The initial work scope is for 6 months, 3 on, 3 off rotation.

Description of services to be provided:

  • To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent Rope Access construction service in accordance with Project/Company requirements, standards and procedures
  • To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule
  • To ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the Rope Access work scope is completed, in compliance with IRATA regulations and to the highest standard of safety.
  • Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
  • Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
  • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Inspection of equipment ensuring certification meets safety expectations of task
  • Attend progress meetings as and when required.
  • Provide timely feedback to supervisor of ongoing status or completion of the task.

Experience-

Essential:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in Rope Access operations in line with IRATA level 1 or 2 requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in core discipline (Rope Access Rigging, Painting etc)
  • Thorough understanding of Rope Access equipment, types & manufactures
  • Working experience with varied work sites
  • Ability to understand concise work packs, Risk Assessments, and instruction associated with Rope Access activities

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in other disciplines (CV) i.e. rigging, painting, bolt working, inspection.

Qualifications and Training -

Essential:

  • IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Rope Access qualification
  • All relevant offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, CA-EBS etc.) in date
  • MJI10
  • Appropriate documented evidence confirming the trade (CV) suitable for task
  • Log book to appropriate level indicating hours on ropes

Desirable:

  • ISSOW
  • AMEC Foster Wheeler mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
