Key aims and objectives

To ensure all O&M works are delivered within safety guidelines and procedures. Be the key contact and interface for the client asset management team (OIM).
To act as Amec Foster Wheeler functional line manager for all AFW personnel on the platform and / or at site.

Prime responsibilities and duties

Provide proactive and visible SHE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions
Demonstrate recognition and responsibility for the safety of others on the platform
Support and enact policies for the implementation of and compliance with associated quality and HSE plans
Coordinate and assisting with AFW training requests and be responsible for assurance of training, personnel development and competency
Responsible for ensuring completion of annual performance development reviews in line with agreed KPI's. Support any development or improvement plans
To act as the AFW Supervisor as Functional Interface with the platform management team
Deliver communications to the workforce on workload / operational planning / manning changes, as required of and on behalf of the OIM as necessary
Respond directly to the workforce on AFW related issues (e.g. HR, HSSE, Training, etc)
Assist the onshore teams with communications to and from the platforms / site regarding ongoing issues
Assist with Competency Assessments and new start Performance Assessments
Share 'cross-asset' learnings and areas of high performance leveraging the benefit of having several assets
Be the direct contact to the OIM for all AFW related issues

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

Technical apprenticeship or equivalent and HNC in engineering, plus demonstrable experience in the role as the senior responsible person on a permanently manned producing installation.
OR First Class Marine Engineers Certificate of Competency
OR - In lieu of formal technical qualifications, candidate may offer apprenticeship and substantial experience in offshore maintenance with an auditable track record of consistently good performance. They will have recently held a senior/supervisory maintenance engineering role on a permanently manned producing facility for a significant period

Experience

Excellent knowledge of operations & maintenance strategy development, techniques, and tools.
Excellent understanding of Industry best practice
Excellent understanding of Risk Assessment techniques
Excellent knowledge of permit to work system and prescribed permit isolations
Good multidisciplinary technical knowledge
Experienced in technical integrity and criticality for maintenance prioritisation
