Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Plant and Equipment Coordinator extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. The role will be based at the Amec Foster Wheeler office in Great Yarmouth.

Purpose / Role

  • Responsible for all project Plant & Equipment (P&E) activities to support execution of project schedules.
  • This shall include ensuring databases are updated; P&E are receipted, bagged, tagged and issued in accordance with Company policies, procedures and in compliance with all HSE and any legislative requirements.
  • Co-ordination of P&E Shipping and Logistics
  • Inventory management and reconciliation.

Key aims and objectives

  • Efficient and effective control of P&E to suit project requirements;
  • Management of all P&E in accordance with relevant Company policies, procedures and project schedules.

Prime responsibilities and duties

  • To act as the project focal point for the coordination of P&E control;
  • Control and upgrade project P&E;
  • Management of P&E tracking system;
  • Issue weekly plant and equipment status reports to project personnel;
  • To process all plant and equipment requisitions within the project;
  • Work with Expediting function and suppliers to ensure safe and timely receipt of P&E;
  • Verification (as required), and receipt of all project P&E;
  • Ensure all P&E are clearly labelled with item number, material code as appropriate and as required.
  • Containerisation of all P&E in accordance with project schedule;
  • Call off and allocation of P&E for shipment by land, air or sea;
  • Create accurate manifests for onward shipment;
  • Investigate and resolve any P&E short-falls or manifest discrepancies;
  • Control and re-distribution of back loaded P&E;
  • Effective and ongoing reconciliation and disposal of surplus project P&E;
  • Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within project team;

  • Signiifcant experience in a similar role
  • IT skills
