Amec Foster Wheeler require the services of a Contracts Administrator based in our offices in Accra Ghana on a 3 month short term contract. Ghanaian nationals will only be considered.

Amec Foster Wheeler & BBS Ltd, a Ghanaian JV between Amec Foster Wheeler and BBS Engineering Ltd an indigenous Ghanaian company have been contracted to provide project management engineering support services (PMESS) to ENI E&P Ghana Ltd. The required services shall cover Offshore Deep-water Oil & Gas Development Projects and Onshore Oil & Gas Development Projects.

The project includes all the facilities and wells necessary to allow the production of oil reserves of both Cenomanian and Campanian reservoirs, and for the exploitation of the gas reserves of Sankofa, Sankofa East and Gye Nyame fields (Campanian level) all offshore Western Ghana. This development project foresees a subsea production system with 8 oil producers, 3 water injectors, 3 gas injectors and 5 gas producers.

  • Post award during execution of the contract, to manage contract change orders and variations
  • Verify contractual clauses and apply appropriate measures for Contractors follow-up
  • Comply with the company control systems
  • Assures all requirements and special terms and conditions are met by contractors / suppliers
  • Monitors the quality of services in coordination with the technical units and interfaces with contractors / suppliers
  • Administers feedback concerning the contracting activities
  • Manages activities between internal team and contractors / suppliers
  • Acts in the respect of professional ethics and company code of practice
  • Prepares systematic reporting related to contracting activities

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field and a minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Knowledge of Contract Law
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Amec Foster Wheeler have identified a requirement for the provision of Senior Electrical Design services for a project based in Northeast. Estimated duration will be 3 months. The appointed service provider will have extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Work Scope

  • Execute Electrical Discipline design and draughting activities within budget and schedule
  • Prepare electrical drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel
  • Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract
  • Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems
  • Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
  • Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule

  • ONC or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject
  • Experienced designer with sound technical background and strong knowledge of manual and CAD draughting techniques
  • Conversant with codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to draughting function
  • Conversant with company quality control assurance requirements applicable to draughting function
  • Able to create base design drawings / models from agreed workscope with minimal input from engineering personnel
  • Ability to accept delegated responsibility and control budgets for delegated tasks
  • Computer literate (database / spreadsheets)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure cost control is maintained on a project basis throughout all functions (procurement, delivery, design etc.)
  • Provide contractual advice to project and operational personnel. Inform the appropriate management of project contractual issues and points of dispute and resolution. Ensure project personnel understand the application issues of the contractual conditions.
  • Providing support and mentoring Assistant Quantity Surveyors within the respective Project.
  • Accountable for the management, collation, interpretation and analysis of project commercial records.
  • Accountable for the preparation, review and monitoring against the Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in line with project requirements and the ELF and CVR Procedures. Ensure that the process is effectively managed and delivered.
  • Identification of risks and opportunities to project spend/budgets.
  • Manage project subcontract packages, including compensation events, measurements and valuations.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all Early Warning Notifications, Notifications of Compensation Events, Quotations, etc. produced to the required standards and submitted in accordance with contractual time scales
  • Manage the compliance and suitability surrounding processes and procedures on a project basis.
  • Prepare, review and submit applications for payment in the format and time required under the Contract. Agree the application and produce and reconcile differences between application and certified payment. Ensure that a correctly detailed invoice is raised and submitted in a timely manner and monitor payment
  • Liaising with the Accountants to ensure correct cost reporting.
  • Support and champion the delivery of AMEC Foster Wheeler values and associated KPI's.
