Offshore subsea contractor, Ocean Installer, has secured further contracts with Norwegian operator Statoil.
The subsea firm said the contract will see them supply subsea risers services to Statoil’s Troll C platform, located 50 miles (80km) offshore Norway.
Ocean Installer will disconnect and remove one existing oil export riser and two existing production risers before laying replacements and reconnecting.
The contract also includes options to extend the subsea riser scope to the Statoil’s Vigdis field.
Wok on Troll C is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2016, and utilise Ocean Installer’s flagship vessel Normand Vision.
Commenting on the contract win, Ocean Installer CEO, Steinar Riise, said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured more work at the Troll field as the Norwegian Continental Shelf continues to be an area of great importance to us.”
“Following up from our success on the highly complex SIMOPRO operations for Statoil in 2015, this new award allows us to further reinforce our great cooperation with Statoil,”
