Barrels of Oil Equivalent (BOE) is a hydrocarbon unit of measure.  It is used as a simple way to equate gas produce to oil produce by way of heating capability.

One barrel of oil equivalent (BOE) is regarded as roughly 5,800 cubic feet / 164.2 cubic meters of natural gas.  However the United States Geological Survey regards the figure to be 6000 cubic feet / 169.9 cubic meters.
