LPG or Liquified Petroleum Gas is a gas mostly composed of Propane and Butane.

It is produced during the refining process of natural gas and crude oil, for use both commercially and domestically.

It is commonly know in North America by its components Propane or Butane, and in Europe and Asia as LPG.

Although LPG has a relatively high Calorific Value or 46.1MJ/kg compared to that of petrol (gasoline) 43.5MJ/kg, it has a lower energy density at 26 MJ/L.
