A Technip worker has been killed, in the UK port of Invergordon, during the loading of the company’s Deep Energy pipelay vessel.
In incident occurred on Friday, whilst the Deep Energy was being loaded. Exact details are still to be released, however it is believed at this time that the incident involved a forklift truck on the key side.

The yet unnamed worker is believed to have been a Filipino national, and part of the Deep Energy’s crew.
A Technip spokeswoman said: “It is with deep regret we confirm that, as a result of an incident on quayside at Invergordon, a crewman from Technip operated vessel, Deep Energy, has died.”
“Emergency services attended the scene and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is in progress. Relatives of the crew member have been informed and the company is offering support to family, colleagues and friends.”
In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Sadly, one man has died as a result of the injuries he sustained. A full investigation has been launched as a result of the incident and partner agencies are working closely to assist the police in their inquiry.”
